“Divide and conquer”, a dramatic debate about fracking

Last month, the ALâ Community Theatre came from Galway to Cashel, in Fermanagh to present a “Forum Theatre”drama on the subject of Fracking.  Watch below an edited version of the drama.
Environment, employment, economy… Four actors – politician, businessman, food co-op owner and teacher – launch a classic debate about fracking and issues for a community.  Following their act, the spectators are invited to take a role and pursue the discussion.  On this film, see some extracts of the most interesting moments.
Forum Theatre is one of many “Theatre of the Oppressed” (T.O) methods used to find alternative solutions to an issue of concern to the participants. A play on a subject, in this case Fracking, is presented to an audience then after some discussion it is performed again but this time the audience is invited to participate in the action.
