Record cut in Scotland’s carbon emissions

Important milestone

Scotland achieved a record drop on carbon emissions in 2013, cutting 12m tonnnes from 2012. That comes after the announcement that during the first half of 2014 for the first time clean energies produced more power than nuclear, coal or gas in Scotland. “This important milestone is good news for anyone who cares about Scotland’s economy, our energy security and our efforts to tackle climate change”, Scottish Renewables CEO declared.
