It’s Harvest Time Festival in Mohill, at Lough Rynn Castle! A perfect occasion for EVS volunteers to discover Autumn traditions in County Leitrim. This famous Festival in Ireland announces the beginning of the new season. Everybody in the area attended this event of old fashion fun, which included a vintage car exhibition, tractors and vintage pumps (strange machines that make strange noises!). An Irish band put on a show and the dance floor was the main attraction.
Around the castle’s garden there were outdoor games for children. It was so funny. The food stands smelt very good and you could eat organic food like homemade burgers and homemade sweets.
Many vintage cars were present. The car owners pamper their cars, we could see them shining! It was a good occasion to take beautiful pictures, like this one of this incredible red car!
The threshing machine is a very old machine used for the separation of grain from stalks and husks. It was a popular attraction during the Festival, it brought back memories.
Everybody liked the Irish songs and many people danced to the ‘’old time’ music surrounded by the green green grass.
