Session 2 Short workshops 11.30 – 1.00 pm

Wind energy – How could wind turbines be welcomed by communities?

Solar energy – Water heating and/or electricity generation? Do we have enough sun?

Hydro energy – Is there a future for micro hydro turbines?

Biomass energy – Could forestry development around Manorhamilton support biomass industries?

(Attendees will spend 20 minutes at each workshop)


Lunch 1.00 – 2.00 pm


Session 3 Round table discussions (World Café format) 2.00 – 3.30 pm

Facilitator: Chris Chapman.

Four questions arising from the business of the morning will be chosen. The attendees will form small groups that will discuss each question in turn. The results of the discussions will be collated. There also may be specialist groupings.
